A ‘Rent to Buy’ option is available for individuals who have a deposit, assets to the value of finance and a steady income. This option is equivalent to a hire purchase for a vehicle and could be for 3 to 5 year terms.
We operate through Better Finance and require the following information to complete the application:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Drivers licence (a copy of the front & back)
- Date of birth
- Mobile number
- Residential address
- Current living status - own/rent/board
- Current mortgage/rent payments
- Length of time at current address
- Planned location address for cabin
- Planned location ownership
- Residency status – New Zealander/visitor
- Any deposit amount
- Your preferred payment frequency - weekly/fortnightly
- Length of Finance - 3 or 5 years
- Any credit/finance/IRD defaults outstanding
- Reference contact to assess house upkeep – someone you have recently lived with
- Employer contact details
Please note Better Finance will require you to upload your recent months bank statements to review your expenditure and incomings.
